The Secret Place

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”
This verse emphasizes God’s protection and security for those who remain close to Him. The “secret place” represents a personal, intimate relationship with God - a life of trust and fellowship. To “abide under the shadow of the Alimight” signifies living under His care and protection, safe from harm, because His protective care surrounds us.
A recent survey estimated 38 percent of American homes have security systems in their homes. People want to feel secure. We as Christians are secure under the shadow of the Alimgith. Shelter refers to a hiding place, covering, or protection. It offers the promise of God’s protection amid hardship and peril. There is a Christian song entitled “Hide Me in the Shelter.” I love to listen to this song; it reminds me and all of us how the Lord wants to dwell in His love!
