Assisted Living & Nursing
Thalman Square: Assisted Living
Thalman Square Assisted Living is a secure environment for people living with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s or other dementia. It has two 16 room neighborhoods that are connected with a central town square. Rooms are private with attached bathrooms.
Thalman Square Assisted Living is a cozy environment that features the comforts of a small neighborhood to encourages socialization:
→Familiar environment to reduce confusion and anxiety
→ Full schedule of enriching programs each day
→ Barber and beauty shop, coffee shop
→ Secure outdoor courtyard
The Cottages: Nursing
The Cottages are Iowa’s first freestanding small house nursing homes for people with dementia. The two cottages are home to 16 residents each. Each resident lives in a private bedroom with an attached bathroom.
The Cottages are specially designed with acoustics and natural lighting to provide a calming, peaceful environment. Residents benefit from our award-winning Household Model of Care:

→Consistent, close-knit caregivers are like family
→ Comfortable gathering spaces for dining, playing games, socializing, or simply relaxing
